Ethan Gans-Morse is the founder and artistic director of the Ambrosia Ensemble. As a composer, Ethan’s works have been read and performed by numerous ensembles, including the Portland Vocal Consort, Quartetto Indaco, the Artaria Quartet, the Instrumenta Oaxaca Festival of Oaxaca, Mexico, the American Creators Ensemble, the Oregon Composers Forum, and the Ashland Winter Fine Arts Festival. His work bring together his love of Renaissance and Baroque music with his passion for new, socially relevant works of art that inspire a sense of human connection. Robert Chastain currently serves as musical director of the Ambrosia Ensemble. As a composer, he has been commissioned, performed, and read by the the American Academy of Conducting at Aspen Orchestra, the San Francisco Wind Symphony, the San Francisco Surround Sound Orchestra, St. Dominic’s Solemn Mass Choir (SF, CA), the SF Conservatory New Music Ensemble and Orchestra, the University of Oregon Symphony, the University of Florida Orchestra, and the European American Musical Alliance (Paris, France).
